SACRAMENTO, Calif. –
Brasher’s Sacramento Auto Auction is seeing sales “typical” to this time of year, says auction president John Brasher, with some trucks and SUVs soft in the lanes.
During last week’s Post Sale Report video, the executive also explained “the rental market was good but not great. But again, that is typical for this time of year.”
Offering some price examples for last week’s sale, a 2007 Lincoln Navigator sold for $25,500. On the luxury side, a 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK Class sold for $18,000. Lastly, a 2005 Jeep Wrangler sold for $14,100.
As for what dealers are saying, they reported slow retail used-car sales for the month of October and are hoping for a better November.
“But bidding was active in all the lanes, and the cars still brought money. It was a good sale today (Oct. 30), good market overall, but typical for the time of year,” Brasher concluded.
