RICHMOND, Va. -

CarLotz is doubling down in the Lone Star State.

The consignment-to-retail used-car marketplace announced Monday that it has opened a hub in Plano, Texas, its second location in the state.

This new hub, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, complements its sister location in San Antonio.

“Through our #LotzOfLove initiative and the non-profit Dogs Matter, we've already been able to connect with some of the wonderful people in the Plano community,” CarLotz co-founder and chief executive officer Michael Bor said in a news release.

“We look forward to continuing these relationships and introducing more guests to CarLotz’s peer-to-peer marketplace, our full omnichannel approach and the real service and value that comes with buying and selling through our unique consignment model,” Bor said.

CarLotz said it is looking to hire for dozens of positions at this new hub and other locations throughout the country. Those positions include sales coaches, service techs, managers and other roles.
