Carvana said Tuesday it is bringing its Inspection and Reconditioning Center capabilities to the ADESA Charlotte auto auction location.

Doing so increases the reconditioning capacity and adds more inventory to Carvana’s national network, the online vehicle retailer said. It allows for greater selection for retail customers across the U.S., faster delivery for buyers in North Carolina and a stronger offering for local wholesale customers, Carvana said.

“ADESA Charlotte has been an important part of the local community for more than 30 years, and we’re excited to build on that foundation by bringing new capabilities and jobs to the site,” said Brian Boyd, Carvana’s senior vice president of inventory, said in a news release.

“This integration will strengthen our national network while improving selection and delivery speed for North Carolina customers, strengthening our offering for our wholesale customers, and creating new opportunities for our growing Charlotte team,” Boyd said.

Carvana anticipates the integration of Inspection and Reconditioning Center capabilities at the Charlotte, N.C.-area auction will eventually lead to roughly 100 new inspection, reconditioning and vehicle fulfillment jobs.
