Cox Automotive’s logistics brand, Central Dispatch, has launched its carrier scorecard, a new feature designed to help shippers make smarter, safer shipping decisions by providing critical carrier data at the point of dispatch.
While noting it independently verifies each carrier that joins the platform, Central Dispatch said the new scorecard gives shippers another tools to verify that a carrier is right for each particular vehicle move — and to help prevent industry fraud.
“Everyone plays a role in fighting fraud in the logistics industry, and the carrier scorecard is one more way we’re empowering our shippers to do just that,” Cox’s head of Central Dispatch Lainey Sibble said. “The carrier scorecard puts the data shippers need front and center to help them choose partners more wisely, move vehicles faster and protect their business better.”
In a news release, Cox said properly verifying carriers for every vehicle move is a “critical step” in safely transporting vehicles, but noted not all shippers take the steps needed to get to the right information, leading to delivery problems.
The carrier scorecard provides shippers with carrier credentials, performance history and potential issues directly from the dispatch workflow.
When a shipper selects a carrier, a slide-out panel displays detailed information sourced from Central Dispatch and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, organized by company details (business type, contact information, ownership structure), performance data (ratings, reviews, membership history, recent activity) and warnings and flags, including inactive status, outdated filings or mismatched authority.

Cox said it has plans to add functionality to the scorecard to help carriers. In 2026, the company said, metrics from the scorecard will power Find a Carrier, a feature for premium shippers that identifies potential matches for each job.
The carrier scorecard is latest new feature introduced on the Central Dispatch platform in 2025, Cox Automotive said, joining multi-factor authentication and smart administration controls for fraud protection, verified addresses to support safer transactions, real-time vehicle tracking for visibility throughout transit, and educational resources and dedicated fraud support to help users spot risks and make informed decisions.
