MONCKS CORNER, S.C. -

Over the holidays, one South Carolina auction, in particular, and its dealers invested in the community, raising funds and collecting items for a children’s charity.

For four straight weeks, Charleston Auto Auction held a 50/50 drawing each sale to benefit the Low County Orphan Relief — which helps children removed from their homes due to emergency circumstances, such as abuse or neglect.

Then, at the end of the promotion, Charleston AA matched all contributions collected, coming to a total of over $2,200.

“Low Country Orphan Relief is a great organization.  All of our dealers are always willing to help those in need, especially when it is children!” said Laura Taylor, general manager of Charleston AA.
