DALLAS -

Just a couple days after reporting how successful its 2012 fiscal year was, Copart late last week announced the opening of its new 17-acre facility in Webster, N.H.

This latest addition to Copart’s footprint represents the company’s first facility in the state of New Hampshire and the 157th facility worldwide.

Company officials indicated this facility will service the entire state of New Hampshire as well as the eastern portion of Vermont.

“The Webster facility will provide the capacity needed to address our growth in volume in the New England region,” said Copart president Vincent Mitz, “and by making our network more dense, we reduce the costs to our insurance suppliers to tow the car to our facility and to access the car during the sales cycle.”

The new facility continues the string of positive developments for Copart.

For the fiscal year that wrapped up July 31, the company reported revenue, operating income and net income of $924.2 million, $286.4 million and $182.1 million, respectively. The totals represented year-over-year increases in revenue of $51.9 million or 6.0 percent; in operating income of $21.1 million or 7.9 percent; and in net income of $15.7 million or 9.5 percent.

“We’re really excited about the things that took place for Copart in fiscal 2012,” Copart chief executive officer Jay Adair emphasized.
