DAA Northwest simply“Can’t Fight This Feeling” and is going back to the 1980s this summer for its Rock & Roll Sale.

Headlining the annual event will be REO Speedwagon, who rocked the 80s with hits like “You Take It on the Run,” “Keep on Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.”

The event is scheduled for July 17-18, with the REO Speedwagon concert taking place the evening of July 17 after a performance from The Cronkites. The latter is a local favorite featuring DAA Northwest vice president Greg Mahugh and e-commerce development manager Pat Simmons.

“We are now in full swing with our promotional event season,” said DAA Northwest’s Bob McConkey.

Fresh off its NASCAR Days promotion earlier this month, the auction will be holding its Big Sky Sale & Collector Car Auction May 8-9.  In June, DAA Northwest hosts a Salmon Sale and Golf Tournament in June.

During its NASCAR Days promotion held in April, DAA Northwest welcomed Sprint Cup Series star Clint Bowyer along with Speed and Top Gear host Rutledge Wood.  The pair entertained guests during a reception following the April 10 afternoon sale.

“Clint and Rutledge are two very funny guys,” said McConkey. “Having them here with us made NASCAR Days 2013 truly unique … and a blast!”

The promotion is hosted in conjunction with DAA Northwest sister auctions KCI Kansas City and EPI El Paso, which are fellow members of the McConkey Auction Group. Each of these facilities sent two dealer winners to the STP 400 at the Kansas Motor Speedway this past weekend.
 
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime trip,” says DAA’s Leonard Roll, who acts as a guide for the winners at the track. “Our dealers receive HOT Passes, giving them total access to garages, pit boxes, an in-field RV with an observation deck, and more. They literally rub elbows with drivers and pit crews throughout the weekend.”
