DAA Northwest’s 30th annual Rock & Roll Sale turned out to be more than a gathering for dealers and the auto remarketing industry.

It was a rock reunion.

In addition to the more than 1,350 customers and industry guests from across the U.S. and Canada, a surprise guest joined the festivities July 16-17 at the auction in Spokane, Wash.

As headliner Sammy Hagar was revving up the crowd during the featured concert, he was joined by former Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony, bringing half of that legendary band back together for a performance DAA Northwest’s parent company McConkey Auction Group called “rare and raucous.”

MAG said the event’s vibe was “pure rock and roll”, with full lanes and strong sales in-lane and online both days resulting in a 60% conversion rate among the 3,100-plus units offered. The event also included some new elements the MAG said “delivered an upgraded customer experience,” including a pre-concert DJ and expanded food truck options.

“Celebrating our 30th Rock & Roll Sale with this kind of energy and turnout was incredible,” DAA Northwest general manager Collin McConkey said. “This event is about more than music — it’s about creating connection and momentum in the wholesale marketplace.

“I’m so proud of our team, whose hard work and hospitality made it all happen. From the sale floor to the stage, the spirit of MAG was on full display.”

Since its inaugural show in 1996, featured rock pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis, the DAA Northwest Rock & Roll Sale has hosted performers such as The Doobie Brothers, Heart, Chicago, Joan Jett and Barenaked Ladies.
