AUBURN, Wash. -

After holding an open house for dealers and a soft opening sale last month, the latest addition to the McConkey Auction Group is set to host its grand opening sale this week.

The event at DAA Seattle, located in Auburn, Wash., is set for Tuesday.

The auction hosted an open house for dealers back on May 14 and then held an inaugural sale a week later with 400 dealer-consigned units.

“We had a good turnout for the Open House,” said auction co-owner Bob McConkey. “It gave us the chance to reconnect with dealers we hadn't seen in over 20 years while meeting some of the new customers we'll be seeing every week in our lanes.”

McConkey, who co-owns DAA Seattle with Greg Mahugh, said the inaugural sale was a “soft opening” and utilized four of the auction’s six blocks. Tuesday’s sale will have all six blocks running, he noted.

DAA Seattle features six bays and is a triple-block auction. It is also developing construction plans for an on-site reconditioning facility.
