FLINT, Mich. -

Flint Auto Auction has named its new assistant general manager, an industry veteran whose resume includes tenures at ADESA and Manheim.

FAA owner and President Bill Williams made the staffing announcement, naming Greg Price as assistant general manager.

Price comes to FAA with more than 25 years of experience in auction marketing and operations.

"Greg is a dynamo who understands dealers and brings both experience and enthusiasm to Flint Auto Auction," Williams said. "We are excited to have him join our team."

Price said he was introduced to the auction industry at age 15, when his father trained him as an auction ring man during the summer in Columbus, Ohio.

"The old saying that 'once it's in your blood, it's there to stay' is absolutely true," he said. "Those early years as a ring man were great for me, and I knew I wanted to stay in the industry. That decision has proved an excellent one for me and my family, and I am excited that it has led me here to Flint Auto Auction."

Price added that he’s excited to work with Williams and with John Luce at FAA.

"I have known Bill and John for many years and have long admired their auction, with its 60-year heritage in the industry,” he said. "The level of customer service they provide and the volume of business they do is extraordinary.

"As I have become acquainted with the auction staff, I have been very impressed to discover how many employees have been here at Flint for 20 years or more," Price continued. "Their loyalty and dedication to the business speaks volumes about Bill and John's leadership, and I am privileged to be part of such a solid company."
