OAKVILLE, Ontario -

Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd.  has officially announced the award winners for the 2012 Auction Quality Program. Winners were selected based on measurements of the auction’s performance in two categories: Overall Auction Quality and Reconditioning Excellence.

The Auction Quality Program is an annual metrics driven auction performance tracking initiative which focuses on the overall quality of ADESA Auction services and vehicle reconditioning quality at their 13 sites across Canada. ADESA is an organization that provides customers whole car auction solutions, servicing both institutional clients and dealers.

“The Auction Quality Program allows Ford to assess auction site performance and recognize outstanding achievement in auction services,” said Tim Quesnel, remarketing operations manager at Ford of Canada. “With ADESA’s support, Ford sponsored auctions can continue to offer all our Dealer buyers an impressive selection of high-quality, pre-owned vehicles.”

The Auction Quality Program rates each Ford sponsored auction site on its performance as it relates to the standards that Ford of Canada has set out, and encourages the auctions to provide a high level of service to all dealer buyers.

Each award category includes two sub-groups of auction sites, divided based on specified criteria. Group A in each category includes larger sites which host Ford sponsored factory closed and open sales, while Group B includes the smaller sites which host Ford sponsored open sales. Auction sites in each grouping compete for top performance recognition.

This year’s award winners in the Auction Quality category include ADESA Vancouver, winner in Group A with a score of 8.58 out of 10, and ADESA Kitchener, winner in Group B with a score of 8.70 out of 10.

“Both the winning auction sites in the Auction Quality category received superior ratings from Ford of Canada dealerships and Ford Remarketing Services personnel,” states Doug Collis, remarketing sales manager at Ford of Canada. “ADESA Vancouver and Kitchener demonstrated outstanding performance in their operational processes including auction communication, on-site auction experience, services provided, vehicle preparation, vehicle delivery and overall satisfaction throughout 2012.”

The Reconditioning Excellence category challenges auction facilities across Canada to exceed Ford of Canada Dealer reconditioning expectations, and perform their operational procedures at the highest possible level. This year’s winners, chosen by Ford of Canada dealers, include ADESA Halifax in Group A with a score of 4.87 out of 5, and ADESA Moncton and Quebec in Group B, each with scores of 5 out of 5.

Ford of Canada congratulated the general managers of each winning auction site, to show appreciation for an excellent year in 2012. The general managers for each winning site are as follows:
