Holman joins with Auction Edge to boost wholesale commercial vehicle platform

Holman is giving its auction platform an edge.
The dealership group/automotive services company has partnered with wholesale technology provider Auction Edge to boost Holman’s EquipmentDirect platform, which specializes in the resale of vehicles, commercial equipment such as trailers and forklifts, heavy-duty construction units and other industrial assets.
“Our mission,” Auction Edge CEO Dan Diedrich said, “is to provide the best technology and opportunities so our partners can optimize their remarketing operations.”
Through the partnership, EquipmentDirect will use Auction Edge’s full suite of auction management and digital marketplace technologies in its wholesale equipment remarketing process.
Auction Edge’s EDGE ASI auction management system will manage Holman’s inventory for the platform, which will also employ CR Simplified as a digital inventory hub, EDGE Pipeline for remarketing and merchandising, and EDGE.Auction — Auction Edge’s digital auction platform — to list and sell the inventory.
In a news release, Auction Edge said the custom integration it developed to work with Holman’s back-end systems is key to the collaboration. The integration is designed to speeding workflows and improve data accuracy while delivering a smooth online experience for buyers and giving Holman a tool for efficiently remarketing assets.
The collaboration also integrates Holman directly into the Auction Edge network of more than 200 auctions with more than 35,000 unique dealer visits a week to Edge Pipeline, the companies said.
“This collaboration allows us to reach a broader audience of qualified buyers and streamline our wholesale operations,” Holman manager of North American remarketing Holly Vollant said, “ultimately helping our customers maximize the resale value of their commercial vehicles and equipment while also minimizing time to sell.”
Auction Edge said working through its network makes it easier for Holman to source inventory and partner with physical auctions to reach a wide range of prospective buyers.
