IAA enters Guatemala with its latest international alliance

Following recent ventures in the Middle East, the Baltic region and Western Asia, IAA’s latest international push turns back toward the south.
The global marketplace has launched a new market alliance with Auto Traders of America in the Central American nation of Guatemala, a move parent company RB Global said is part of IAA’s ongoing strategy to expand its international presence.
Over the past two years, IAA has been active in adding new markets around the world, establishing alliances in Lithuania, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Panama and Azerbaijan. Overall, IAA operates in more than 170 countries.
In Guatemala, Auto Traders of America will operate a vehicle auction center, with its team providing local services and assistance to buyers seeking inventory listed on IAA’s platform, IAA said, streamlining the purchasing process and increasing the vehicles’ visibility in Latin America.
“This strategic alliance with Auto Traders of America in Guatemala is an important step in deepening our presence in Latin America,” said David Rymarz, RB Global’s senior vice president and head of IAA marketplace. “Our market alliance will strengthen our operations in the region and allow us to leverage the reputation and expertise of the ATA team to ensure a top-notch customer experience.”
Auto Traders of America head of operations John Molina said the alliance will help “deliver quality service and on-the-ground support to customers in Guatemala,” noting the deal is “increasing the accessibility of U.S. vehicle inventory for our local customers, while simultaneously providing the trusted support of a full-service team throughout the purchasing process. This allows our customers to personalize their purchases to meet their needs and find the perfect vehicle.”
