ATLANTA -

Late last week, Manheim Pennsylvania held its annual Xtreme Spring “100 Grander” sale that not only featured a vast array of highline and other specialty cars, but helped to raise $50,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

The sale was part of the Manheim Pennsylvania’s highline auction.

Included in the lineup were 360 vehicles valued at $100,000, ultra highline ($75,000 to $99,000) cars, Corvettes, motorcycles, and classic/modern muscle cars.

Among the highlights was a 2013 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe fetching $480,000. There was also a rare 1957 Chevrolet Corvette that sold for $90,000.

Proceeds from the sale and the Spring Charity Gala went to WWP.

“Manheim Pennsylvania was thrilled to host our annual ‘100 Grander’ Sale on March 14. This sale combined five highly sought after vehicle categories: vehicles over $100,000, classic cars and muscle cars, and vehicles between $75,000–$100,000,” said Tim Van Dam, vice president and general manager of Manheim Pennsylvania.  “We also chose The Wounded Warrior Project as our benefit charity because of its impact on the lives of Americans who have given a tremendous sacrifice to defend our freedom.”

WWP serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001, as well as their families. It aims to raise awareness and generate aid from the public to meet the needs of injured service members, as well as to offer programs and services to these service members.

“I want to thank everyone at Cox Enterprises and Manheim, especially the team at Manheim Pennsylvania, for their hard work and commitment in making this such a wonderful and meaningful event,” said Chris Yasher, Wounded Warrior Project alum. “The Wounded Warrior Project is extremely grateful for this partnership and generous contribution that helps injured service members and provides services to meet their needs.”
