ATLANTA –
For promoting healthy lifestyles among its employees and communities, Manheim has been presented the Corporate Wellness Award by the HeartBright Foundation, a Charlotte, N.C.-based organization that provides healthy lifestyle education for the community, and funds cardiology programs in economically disadvantaged communities.
“Manheim is a leader in offering health and wellness programs to its employees,” said Claire Blocker, president of HeartBright Foundation. “Our advisory board selected Manheim for its commitment to promoting wellness in their corporation, and in the communities where they do business.”
Manheim was honored for consistent support of wellness and prevention, HeartBright officials said.
As part of Cox Enterprises, Manheim participates in the Know Your Numbers program that offers free health screenings for employees to identify possible health risks and mitigate the potential for heart disease, strokes and diabetes.
“We are very proud to be recognized by HeartBright,” said Nick Peluso, Manheim senior vice president of customer management, who accepted the award on behalf of Manheim.
“At Manheim, we understand the importance of providing our employees access to health benefits and information that contribute to a healthy lifestyle,” he said.
