Toya McLeod of Southlake, Texas won the top prize as the world champion auto auctioneer at the 2026 World Automobile Auctioneer Championship last week at Dealers Auto Auction Memphis in Eads, Tenn.
Another Texan, Graci Sherman of Lubbock, claimed the ringman title, and Tennessee’s Blake Walker and Alabama’s Donnie Marr won the team competition.
McLeod, who took the auctioneer crown over runner-up Sixto Paiz, earned $10,000 for the victory. Sherman received $7,500 and the top team took home $5,000.
McLeod also took second among the teams with partner Wade Pierce.
The event, presented by the National Auto Auction Association, drew more than 75 competitors from across the country. In a news release, NAAA said the WAAC “highlights the importance of the auctioneer profession and provides an opportunity to celebrate the very best of automobile auctioneering.”
DAA vice president of auction operations John Swofford said hosting the event was “an honor”, adding “This year’s competition delivered the energy, excellence and camaraderie that define our industry.”
