Montway Auto Transport has promoted chief financial officer Alberto Anguiano to chief operating officer, the third-party logistics brokerage announced.

Anguiano will oversee Montway’s daily administrative and operational functions, the company said in a news release, and will be responsible for “driving strategic growth initiatives to advance the company’s position as an industry innovator.”

Montway said Anguiano has played a pivotal role in its expansion since joining the executive leadership team in 2021, with an ability to identify high-value acquisition targets and integrate them into the company helping grow market share and service capabilities.

“Alberto has been a cornerstone of our executive team, demonstrating the kind of strategic foresight that is rare in this industry,” chairman and CEO Tom Gartland said. “His disciplined approach has helped us pursue aggressive growth while maintaining a healthy bottom line.

“Alberto’s work in leading our recent acquisitions has strengthened our operational DNA. He is exactly the leader we need to drive our long-term vision.”

Anguiano’s responsibilities as COO will take advantage of his expertise in fiscal management and organizational design, the company said. They’ll include leading the evaluation and operational onboarding of new partnerships for cultural and functional alignment, driving profitability through capital allocation and operational efficiencies in all business units, and future-proofing operations by anticipating shifts in the automotive market.
