North Toronto Auction Honored as One of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies

As PROFIT magazine unveiled its 25th annual list of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, a familiar name in the country’s auto industry made the ranking this time around.
Identified in the list is North Toronto Auction.
The PROFIT 500 — which ranks Canadian businesses by their revenue growth over five years — is published in the summer issue of PROFIT magazine and online at PROFITguide.com.
This honor came as North Toronto Auction, one of Canada’s largest independent auctions, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
Highlighting the auction’s rich history, the company was launched in 2003 with only 10 staff members. Now, the auction has more than 150 full-time and part-time employes, and holds auctions bi-weekly as well as holds 24 public auctions a year.
The facility has grown physically, as well, expanding from a two-acre property to a sweeping 15 acres.
Over the years North Toronto Auction has secured contracts with the Federal Government, the Province of Ontario, the City of Toronto, municipal governments, registered automotive dealers and OEMs, in an effort “to successfully auction both vehicles and equipment on their behalf.”
Stuart Ralph, owner-partner at North Toronto Auction, also commented on a few company achievements over the years.
“We were the first auto auction to allow the public access to buy vehicles online during a live auction, and also the first auction company in Canada to embrace and initiate ‘full disclosure,’ thus raising the level of openness and transparency for vehicle purchases,” Ralph said.
Other company initiatives include the launch of online vehicle remarketing websites for manufacturers under the company’s AutoGavel brand.
And the company also launched AutoGavel Exchange (AGX) , which “has been built to assist automotive OEMs and their dealer networks to support their certified pre-owned programs and exchange inventory.”
