MOUNT VERNON, Iowa -

Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa recently revealed it has plans to install a new auction management system, which the company contends will pave the way for a partnership with OnLine Ringman to offer simulcast selling.

Mark Greb, owner of the auction, reports the the facility will use VERO Auction Software and expects the system to be in place by Jan. 1 of 2012.

Following the VERO installation, Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa will is set to offer simulcast selling on all four auction lanes, in partnership with OnLine Ringman.

"We're very pleased to announce our agreement with the VERO Group," Greb said. "As we move into our 50th year in business, this represents a significant leap ahead for our auction in terms of efficiency and customer service, and is a reflection of the growing influence our auction has both in our immediate market area and nationally."

And the owner noted that this news comes at a time when the “strong summer market has transitioned into an equally active autumn, with increases in both inventory and dealer activity,” at the auction.

"Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa is unique to the industry, in that our sale begins at 6:30 p.m.," continued Greb. "By making all four lanes available for simulcast selling, we can essentially bring the vehicles in the lanes to our buyers, no matter where they are, via the internet. Whether they are in their office, on the road, or at home, they can buy from Plaza Auto Auction online."

Plaza Auto Auction holds an auction on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. The auction offers more than 500 vehicles for sale weekly, across five auction lanes with monthly specialty sales for trucks and motor sports, officials added. Along with consignments from new and used car dealers throughout the Midwest, Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa features vehicles from a number of regional and national fleet/lease and repo accounts, including PHH, Flexco Fleet Services, University of Iowa Community Credit Union, Emkay, Veridian Credit Union, Avis/Budget, Remarketing Solutions, Enterprise, and Fleet/Lease Disposal.

Plaza Auto Auction of Iowa also is a ServNet auction.
