What prompted/inspired you to join the auto industry and what do you enjoy most about it?
Growing up in Vehicle City, the birthplace of General Motors and Chevrolet Corvette, I was introduced to the automotive industry at a young age. One of my earliest inspirations was Back to the Bricks, an annual classic car event filled with live entertainment and an evening of rolling cruises. I was immediately captivated by the electric energy of roaring engines and the excitement of owners proudly showcasing their most prized possessions, all fueled by a deep-rooted community pride in the city’s automotive culture.
That inspiration was amplified during my time at Flint Auto Auction. The fast-paced environment was unlike anything I had experienced, buyers running up and down lanes to catch the next vehicle, auctioneers firing off their rhythmic cadence, and ringmen scanning the crowd for the slightest movement of a hand or nod.
Every few seconds brought a new vehicle, a new opportunity, and a new decision. It was an energetic blend of knowledge, timing, and confidence coming together in real time, where no two days ever felt the same. I was instantly drawn to the adrenaline of the auction environment, and I haven’t looked back since.
What is the top trend you’re watching in the used-car industry this year?
Aside from AI, the top trend I’m watching in the used car industry is the evolution of used EV affordability and value stability. Battery health transparency, range expectations, and incentive impacts are now just as important as mileage and condition. How the industry adapts to valuing EVs accurately and confidently will be a defining factor for used car performance this year.
What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career?
I am proud of my ambition within this industry, driven by a commitment to deeply understand every aspect of the business while continuously creating efficiencies and maximizing profitability. I am always seeking opportunities to grow, improve, and elevate my performance.

I also take immense pride in the relationships I have built throughout my career. The trust, respect, and mutual support I’ve cultivated have opened doors, created opportunities for advancement, and formed a network of people who help propel my goals forward. Whether building teams, developing processes, or establishing auction partnerships, I have learned that trust is the foundation of every successful and sustainable relationship.
Above all, I am most proud of my ability to prioritize success without sacrificing balance, recognizing that true achievement is built where professional excellence and personal well-being align.
What book, film or song has inspired you personally or professionally?
“Moneyball” is the perfect combination of baseball tradition and data-driven innovation. Beyond baseball and on base percentages, it shows how powerful it can be to question the way things have always been done. It’s about finding value when you don’t have the biggest budget and everyone expects you to follow the same old playbook.
The movie is a great reminder that success comes from asking better questions and letting the data challenge assumptions. Even though it’s a sports story, the lessons apply everywhere. For me, it reinforces that real impact doesn’t come from being the loudest or having the most resources, but from making smart, focused decisions around what drives results.
Who is someone who has inspired you personally or professionally?
My mother, who has since passed, is and will always be my greatest inspiration. As a mother, she was unconditionally supportive, celebrating every achievement and instilling confidence in me from an early age.
Her strength, resilience, and deeply held values shaped the person I am today and continues to guide how I approach my career. She taught me the importance of accountability, compassion, and inclusion, always ensuring that others felt seen, valued, and supported. Her example influences how I build relationships, support those around me, and remain grounded in both my personal and professional goals.
