ServNet Owners Confirm Leadership Transition Plan

During the Owners’ Business Meeting earlier this month bringing together the owners of the 32 ServNet auctions, the members of ServNet confirmed their planned leadership transition. Patty Stanley — the co-owner of Carolina Auto Auction and Indiana Auto Auction — takes on the role of ServNet president for the next two years.
This meeting was part of ServNet’s three-day event in Chicago that included the Fall Owners’ Meeting and Meet the Owners luncheon with area commercial accounts.
Completing his two-year term as president was R. Charles Nichols, who now assumes the role of chairman of the board. Nichols owns Bel Air Auto Auction and Tallahassee Auto Auction.
Missouri Auto Auction owner Kevin Brown retains his treasurer duties and also becomes vice president.
As for the board of directors, Doug Doll of KCI Auto Auction wrapped up his term as director. ServNet elected two new directors: David Blake (Auto Auction of New England) and Ben Brasher (Brasher's West Coast Auto Auctions).
The owners and ServNet’s executive staff also thanked Jeff Brasher (Brasher's Reno Auto Auction) for his tenure on ServNet’s board. Since 2007, his positions have included serving as a director, vice president, president and his most recent post as chairman of the board.
“ServNet's leadership team is based on a two-year-in-office structure and we are very pleased to announce the leadership slate going into the fall of 2013 led by Patty Stanley,” said ServNet Auctions chief executive officer Pierre Pons.
“Patty takes over the president’s role after having worked closely with Charles Nichols over the past two years, which has enabled the organization to maintain continuity in initiatives such as analytics and other customer-facing programs,” Pons added.
The Chicago meetings also included Client Advisory Breakout Sessions with the nation's leading commercial leasing companies, with the heads of remarketing from Emkay, Wheels, Inc., Donlen, ARI, and Merchants Leasing all taking part.
Charlie Vogelheim, Auction Edge CEO David Weld, and research analyst John Healy of Northcoast Research also delivered presentations for the owners.
The Meet the Owners luncheon capped off the event. ServNet member Henry Stanley was recognized for his recent election to the NAAA Hall of Fame, while Patty Stanley was recognized for being named one of the 2013 Women in Remarketing.
She will be recognized further for this Auto Remarketing award at the National Remarketing Conference next month, which is just one of four conferences making up Used Car Week. For more information, visit www.usedcarweek.biz or nrc.autoremarketing.com.
