TORRANCE, Calif. -

Toyota is welcoming a new manager in its certified pre-owned department on Monday, Auto Remarketing has learned.

Mia Phillips, the retail sales and operations manager for TCUV/TRAC, is moving over to Toyota’s product communications department. Stepping into her CPO leadership position is Rob Larson, who has been with the automaker for 15 years.

Phillips has held the position since August, when she came over from the new-car side, as reported here.

“We are sorry to see Mia leaving the TCUV role so quickly.  She did a tremendous job in the short time she has been in our department and her can do attitude made it a pleasure to work with her,” said Tom DeLuise, the national TCUV/TRAC sales and operations manager.

“We welcome Rob to the TCUV group. With Rob’s extensive field experience he will hit the ground running and have an instant positive impact in our TCUV business,” he continued. “We want to wish Mia well in her new assignment and welcome Rob to the TCUV group.”

In his 15 years with Toyota Motor Sales USA, Larson spent three of those in the Cincinnati Region as an analyst and district parts manager.

For 11 years, he was in the Lexus Central Area office in Naperville, Ill. While there, Larson served in a variety of roles, including district manager, vehicle supply manager, market representation manager, customer services field manager and vehicle field sales manager

For a little more than a year, Larson has been back at the company’s Torrance, Calif., headquarters. His assignments with the Toyota division have included roles as sales administration manager, service and parts sales administration manager and retail operations manager for TCUV/TRAC.

“I am eager to support our Toyota Certified Used Vehicle and Toyota Rent a Car programs,” said Larson. “Remarketing has never been more important to our continued success in an ever-changing marketplace and it is a privilege to support the nation’s No. 1 OEM certified used vehicle program.”
