Volvo Gives CPO Dealers Options With Addition of AutoCheck Vehicle History Reports

In an effort to provide dealers with more options to check background information on retail units, Experian Automotive said Tuesday that Volvo added AutoCheck vehicle history reports to its certified pre-owned program.
Now the company contends dealers have the ability to choose vehicle history reports based on their customers’ needs.
Commenting on the recent news, Jason Downs, general sales manager of Volvo of Memphis, said, "We are very pleased with AutoCheck at Volvo of Memphis.
"The information on the reports has helped us tremendously. It isn't often these days that a product matches the promise, but AutoCheck has far exceeded our expectations," he added.
AutoCheck vehicle history reports provide Volvo retailers and consumers with information on accidents, title brands, frame-damage announcements, odometer issues and other potentially negative events that can impact a vehicle's value, the company explained.
These reports also include an AutoCheck Score, which allows dealers to compare the unit to other vehicles based on the rating.
"Having basic vehicle history information isn't enough; dealers need to be able to quickly understand and convey that information when moving used vehicles on and off their lots," said Dave Nemtuda, senior vice president of Experian Automotive. "Our AutoCheck Score, combined with the robust data included in our AutoCheck reports, provides Volvo retailers and shoppers with an added level of assurance that they are selecting the right vehicle."
