Study: Hybrid owners are satisfied owners

highlander hybrid

Karl Brauer says hybrid vehicles attract “practical and eco-minded drivers.”

Those drivers are willing to spend extra money upfront for vehicles that are better for the environment, said Brauer, who is executive analyst for car search engine company, iSeeCars.com.

“Hybrid versions of Toyota’s popular gasoline cars have begun outselling the Prius, suggesting consumers now prefer the hybrid versions of their previously-owned gasoline vehicles,” Brauer said in a news release.

Brauer’s statement seems to be accurate if you look at the latest iSeeCars study to determine which vehicles have the most satisfied owners, and Toyota leads the way.

The Toyota Highlander Hybrid comes out on top, with 38% of those vehicles kept by their original owners. Following is the Toyota Avalon Hybrid at 36.5% kept by original owners, and third is the Toyota Camry Hybrid at 34.6%.

Five of the top 10 vehicles with the most satisfied owners are hybrid vehicles.

The non-hybrid Volkswagen Passat comes in fourth, and that automaker also came out strong in the study. iSeeCars also measured “Owner Satisfaction by Brand,” and Volkswagen came out on top, with 26.2% of cars kept by original owners. Subaru placed second, Honda placed third, and Toyota fourth.

Tesla and its ‘fervent customers’

Tesla ranked fifth, and 23.6% of its owners hold on to their vehicles for eight years, according to the study.

As is evident by the waitlists for Tesla’s new models, that automaker attracts “fervent customers,” Brauer said.

“Tesla’s sustained high demand is a testament to the innovative nature of its vehicles and its ability to excite customers,” Brauer said.

For iSeeCars, Tesla is an important part of the discussion on owner satisfaction. The study included a separate section on “Tesla Model S Owner Loyalty” and showed that the original owner was much more likely to keep the Tesla Model S vehicles from the model years examined when compared to similar luxury vehicles or the Nissan LEAF EV.

“The 2012-2013 model years marked when the Tesla Model S was first introduced, so these owners were early adopters who took a chance on Tesla before the quality of the cars was established,” Brauer said.

iSeeCars discussed the 2012-1013 model year Tesla Model S, noting that 23.6% of the vehicles are still with their original owners. That is 1.4 times the overall average, according to iSeeCars. Brauer noted that because of their “high price point,” large luxury sedans are often leased. Another reason for that is owners do not plan on keeping the vehicles for more than a few years.

“The Tesla Model S remains current thanks to its over-the-air software updates, which appeal to its tech-loving consumer base while prolonging their satisfaction with the vehicle,” Brauer said.

In addition to the top three vehicles for owner satisfaction being Toyota hybrids, two additional Toyota hybrids are in the top 10: the Lexus ES 300h in eighth place, and the Prius in tenth.

“Toyota put hybrids on the map with the Prius in the early 2000s, paving the way for hybrid versions of its popular SUVs and sedans over the last decade,” Brauer said.

A non-hybrid Toyota model, the Land Cruiser, also makes the list, and Brauer described that vehicle as “iconic and indestructible.” Although that vehicle has not seen a redesign since the 2008 model year, owners are loyal to them, Brauer said.

Additional satisfaction-inducing vehicles

Two Volkswagens make the list: the fourth-ranked Passat and the sixth-ranked Golf.

“The midsize Volkswagen Passat was completely redesigned for the 2012 model year and is a popular family-friendly sedan,” Brauer said. “The Volkswagen Golf hatchback has enjoyed enduring popularity thanks to its versatility as a practical, yet fun-to-drive vehicle.”

Brauer discussed the seventh-ranked, standard all-wheel-drive Subaru Outback, stating that it offers the practicality of a station wagon along with “the all-weather confidence and functionality of an SUV.”

“Additionally, Subaru has been steadily growing in popularity and attracts specific consumers with a passion for the brand’s value and capabilities,” Brauer said.

The Honda CR-V, which Brauer describes as “a safe and reliable small SUV with above-average fuel economy and robust cargo space for its class,” came in at No. 9 on the satisfaction list.

“Its ownership costs are also thousands below average for the small SUV class,” Brauer said.

The study breaks out owner satisfaction by segment. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid, the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Subaru Outback are the top three SUVs for owner satisfaction. The Honda Ridgeline, Toyota Tacoma, and Toyota Tundra are the top three pickup trucks.

But the dominance of hybrids seemed to be most notable to iSeeCars regarding its owner satisfaction study.

“The cars that are kept for eight years or more tend to be hybrids or reliable vehicles with below-average ownership costs,” Brauer said.

He continued, “Consumers considering their first hybrid purchase should gain confidence in the above-average loyalty and owner satisfaction these models have inspired in previous hybrid buyers.”

New used-vehicle sales website for Ryder

Untitled

Ryder System has launched a new used-vehicle sales website with an expanded inventory of used vehicles, improved search tools, and new features that the company says can help customers locate the best pre-owned vehicle near their business to meet their needs.

The site, at ryder.com/used-trucks, invites customers to shop the company’s inventory “by truck type”: semi-trucks, trucks, trailers and vans and cars.

Ryder— a supply chain, dedicated transportation and commercial fleet management company — launched the used-vehicle sales website that includes an expanded inventory of vehicles through an additional 156 current Ryder rental and maintenance facilities.

The company, which includes 58 Used Truck Center locations offering more than 9,000 pre-owned tractors, trucks, vans, and trailers for sale, says it is growing its digital retail presence. It is also “bringing available inventory of used vehicles closer to its customers.”

Ryder used vehicles are offered in three categories: Ryder Certified, Ryder DOT Verified, and Ryder As-is for commercial vehicles, consisting of day cab tractors, sleepers, refrigeration equipment, box trucks, sprinter vans, cargo vans, and trailers.

The new site offers new search functionality and personalization to learn how customers are searching for vehicles. That helps optimize how Ryder displays inventory online and results in an easier site experience, the company said.

Also at the site, customers can chat with a Ryder sales representative and make an appointment to visit a Ryder location. The company says that the website’s new capability of displaying available vehicles to more partner and affiliate sales websites means increased online visibility for its used-vehicle inventory.

Along with its new digital online sales channel, Ryder also implemented several openings and expansions of its used-vehicle sales centers in what it described as “high-priority, centralized markets.”

That means customers can locate a vehicle online and finalize the purchase transaction at a Ryder used-vehicle sales center, where they can see and touch their future vehicle.

The new Ryder used-vehicle sales centers opened to customers earlier this year and are located in Doraville, Ga.; Kansas City,  Mo.; Phoenix; and Fort Worth, Texas. Also by the end of this year, the company plans to open new locations in Orlando,Fla., and Cincinnati.

Ryder, which offers a network of used vehicles for sale with 58 Used Truck Center locations in North America, offers more than 9,000 pre-owned tractors, trucks, vans, and trailers for sale. The company has opened seven new Ryder Used Truck Center locations in 2020, with plans to open two more before the end of the year.

“As Ryder strategically places new sales channels in the market and expands existing retail locations, it becomes more convenient for customers to find reliable used vehicles close to their business,” Ryder said in a news release.

“We developed the new website based on customer input to have increased buying channels through the combination of digital and physical locations,” said Eugene Tangney, Ryder vice president of global vehicle sales.

Tangney continued, “We’ve learned a lot from our customers as we all try to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic and recognized the importance of structuring our online and physical business to offer safe and convenient sales of used vehicles. As more and more customers start their used-vehicle purchase journey online, it was critical that we enhance our ryder.com/used-trucks website with a new search functionality and innovative features to deliver the best online experience.”

Tangney also noted, “Ryder’s distinct classes of used trucks make it easy to select the right vehicle for your needs and now we have greater reach through our digital and physical sales channels to support more customers. We are ultimately creating more flexibility, choice, and control necessary for efficient fleet management based on what our customers are telling us they want and need.”

Acertus_Building_0_0_0

Instant wholesale vehicle trading platform CarOffer has named automotive logistics and services company ACERTUS as its exclusive transportation provider, stating that ACERTUS will support CarOffer’s mission to help dealers trade, source, purchase and move used inventory faster.

ACERTUS executive vice president of global operations Jeremy Cope said in a news release that his company appreciates the opportunity to “partner with fellow industry disruptors who strive to enhance the automotive space.”

CarOffer says its marketplace features national participation competing for used-vehicle inventory by providing “on the money” offers at the point of appraisal along with a future 45-day guaranteed buy offer.

ACERTUS said it connects pre-owned operators and buyers to a network of pre-approved, vetted carriers representing 20,000 trucks across North America. The company said that by doing that, it is accelerating time to market and boosting vehicle value through reliable “transport and technology innovations.”

“CarOffer is revolutionizing dealers’ ability to access and trade used inventory, and we are so proud to have been serving as their logistics partner since day one,” Cope said.

Cope continued, “Through this strategic partnership, we have not only been able to expand our reach but support our shared desire to drive the future of the automotive industry.”

CarOffer chief strategy and partnership officer Scott Johnston said CarOffer represents a new approach to “acquiring and selling pre-owned inventory instantly and profitably.”

“Transportation is a huge key to our success, and ACERTUS has helped ensure we provide fast, reliable transport solutions,” Johnston said.

Johnston continued, “Their hands-on, always-on service approach, proprietary technology and national footprint made ACERTUS a natural fit to support our business objectives.”

Costco savings event features Volvo, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC

2020-Chevrolet-Silverado-2500HD-181

During the first half of 2020, Costco Auto Program hosted five limited-time specials, which is an initiative to provide extra savings opportunities on vehicles. That is more than double compared to the previous year, and it resulted in nearly 45,000 additional vehicle sales.

On Thursday, Costco Auto Program announced a multi-brand event.

That event features exclusive Costco member incentives on select new 2020 and 2021 models from Volvo, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC.

Volvo and Chevrolet are two of the most popular brands among Costco members, according to Costco Auto Program data on purchases through the program.

All Volvo models available during the Costco Auto Program Savings Event topped their segments this year. The XC90 was the most-requested vehicle for luxury SUV models overall.

The No. 1 truck purchased by Costco members through the program: The Chevrolet Silverado.

Costco Auto Program is operated by Affinity Auto Program, which has operated the program since its inception in 1989. The service offers prearranged pricing on new and select pre-owned vehicles and RVs. It also offers discounts on automobile parts, service, and accessories for U.S. Costco members.

Costco members purchased more than 600,000 vehicles through the program in 2019.

Through Jan. 4, Costco members who purchase or lease select new 2020 or 2021 models can combine any available manufacturer incentives they qualify to receive with the following Costco member-only incentives (Visit CostcoAuto.com/Save for full details, terms and conditions):

— $1,000: Chevrolet: Blazer, Colorado, Silverado 1500/2500/3500, Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse and Trailblazer.

Buick: Encore and Enclave

GMC: Acadia, Canyon, Sierra 1500/2500/3500, Yukon and Yukon XL

— $1,250: Volvo XC40, XC90 and XC60

— $3,000:  Chevrolet Bolt EV

The Costco Auto Program savings event offers a strong opportunity to see year-end savings, said Costco Auto Program general manager Rick Borg.

“To receive extraordinary value, Costco members can stack the member-only incentive with manufacturer incentives for which they are eligible,” Borg said in a news release.

To participate, Costco members must register at CostcoAuto.com/Save to receive a savings certificate that they can use at any Buick, Chevrolet, GMC or Volvo dealership or a Costco Auto Program-approved dealership. Anyone participating must be a current Costco member by Sept. 30.

Additional information is available about the Costco Auto Program Savings Event, or other Costco member savings opportunities available through the program, including regular monthly incentives and additional limited-time specials.

PayPal now a payment option for IAA buyers

Mahlik IAA jmm image

Global digital marketplace IAA says PayPal is now a new payment option for vehicle purchases, registration, fees and vehicle transportation booked online.

As a result of the company’s customer experience, or CX discipline, IAA says it has researched and developed expanded payment options.

Those options, according to IAA, offer more purchasing power and accessibility from what IAA describes as “virtually anywhere in the world.”

Noting that PayPal supports 25 currencies and facilitates payments from 200 countries and regions, IAA says buyers will be able to choose to view charges in their preferred currency or in U.S. dollars.

IAA senior vice president of buyer development and innovation Justin Mahlik said the company’s focus on expanding its selection of payment options “is a direct result of IAA’s CX discipline and Voice of Customer (VOC) platform.”

“Direct buyer feedback gathered via our VOC platform provides us with a deeper understanding of the buyer’s journey including the payment process,” Mahlik said in a news release.

Mahlik continued, “Offering PayPal as an additional payment option for vehicle purchases, as well as for registration, provides IAA buyers around the world with greater buying capability, as well as an efficient way to process their transactions.”

Spiffy’s vehicle disinfection verification app seeks to ease travel concerns

SpiffySafe-vehicle-verification-app-PR

Because of health concerns due to the coronavirus pandemic, only three out of 10 people feel confident when traveling.

That is according to a recent survey from on-demand car care, technology and services company Get Spiffy.

With that in mind, Get Spiffy has released its SpiffySafe vehicle disinfection verification app for iPhone and Android devices.

With the SpiffySafe app, owners such as rental car companies, ride-hailing drivers and car-sharing hosts gain access to a 40-point checklist for properly disinfecting their vehicles.

After completion of the checklist, it is encrypted and stored in the cloud for future verification searches. Using their license plate or VIN number, passengers and renters can look up vehicles to see when they were last disinfected.

Get Spiffy developed the 40-point checklist at the heart of the app based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, Environmental Protection Agency, and World Health Organization.

The free SpiffySafe application is now available on iOS and Android.

In addition to its own survey, Get Spiffy also noted that a May 2020 McKinsey & Company study showed that fewer than 10% of respondents believe carsharing, ridesharing, or shared micro-mobility to be safe.

Spiffy chief executive officer Scot Wingo said a more detailed disinfection verification is necessary, especially in the rental industry and for shared mobility.

“We see the SpiffySafe app as a means to promote effective disinfection practices for drivers and operators, which can put passengers at ease,” Wingo said in a news release.

Spiffy’s survey sought to create a snapshot of consumer confidence in transportation and travel. The survey, which took place in early September, showed that 83% of respondents have traveled since the pandemic. But a much lower percentage felt confident doing it.

Spiffy vice president of marketing Grayson Leverenz said COVID-19 has understandably shaken confidence in transportation and travel.

“As disruptors in the auto care industry, we are always thinking about ways to solve problems with technology,” Leverenz said. “The SpiffySafe app is designed to help keep people healthy and build confidence in travel through vehicle disinfection certification.”

Additional highlights from Spiffy’s survey, in which 289 people participated: Regarding transportation choices, 68% of respondents use a personal vehicle, 20% use car sharing or shared mobility, 18% travel by plane, and 11% travel by rental car. Eighty-three percent of respondents have traveled during the pandemic and 17% have not.

Also according to the survey, fewer than 10% of respondents believe carsharing, ride sharing, or shared mobility to be safe. Eighty-one percent believe a private vehicle is safe.

Spiffy says that travel industry companies can combine the SpiffySafe app with precautions such as mask requirements, hand sanitizer, and communication. If that takes place, more people will feel comfortable getting back on the road, the company said.

As hurricane season arrives, CARFAX provides a flood of information

2020_Flood_Laura

A musty odor in the interior. Damp carpets. Rust around doors.

With the arrival of hurricane season and more waterlogged vehicles showing up around the country, CARFAX is releasing information on various aspects of the situation, such as telltale signs of vehicle flooding.

CARFAX is also highlighting statistics such as the fact that 446,836 flood-damaged cars are on the roads in 2020.

That is according to annual CARFAX data, and the company says that number could rise in the wake of Hurricane Laura. CARFAX says Laura damaged as many as 5,000 vehicles.

“This nationwide surge can put unsuspecting buyers at risk,” CARFAX wrote in a news release.

The company also released a list of the top 10 states with the most vehicles reported as flood damaged by entities such as departments of motor vehicles and insurance companies. Although Texas leads the nation in flood-damaged cars, vehicles with flood damage show up in states where flooding might not be at the top of car-shoppers’ minds, according to CARFAX research.

CARFAX general manager of data Faisal Hasan said car shoppers should do their homework, and Hasan reiterated that “flood-damaged cars surface in every corner of the country.”

“Con men can quickly clean up these cars up, move them and then resell them,” Hasan said. “Once a car has been waterlogged, it will never be the same. These cars literally rot from the inside out, and the mechanical, electrical or safety systems can fail at any time.”

California motorist Carole Ross can relate. She was driving her vehicle home from the dealership and owned it for less than two hours before it broke down.

“We ran a CARFAX Report while we were on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck, and that's when we saw the car had been in a flood in Louisiana a few years ago.”

To help consumers avoid such situations, CARFAX has released its list of the seven telltale signs of flooding. Those include:

— A musty odor in the interior, which sellers sometimes try to cover with a strong air-freshener

— Upholstery or carpeting that may be loose, new, stained or doesn’t seem to match the rest of the interior

— Damp carpets

— Rust around doors, under the dashboard, on the pedals or inside the hood and trunk latches

— Mud or silt in the glove compartment or under the seats

— Brittle wires under the dashboard

— Fog or moisture beads in the interior lights, exterior lights or instrument panel

CARFAX offers a free Flood Check tool at carfax.com/flood to help protect consumers. The tool includes a national map showing where flood cars have washed up, and a flood damage checklist consumers can perform.

The following states have the most flood-damaged vehicles, and all of them have seen an increase since 2019:

1. Texas: 98,400, +13%

2. Florida: 31,300, +8%

3. Kentucky: 26,400, +6%

4. Pennsylvania: 23,400, +18%

5. North Carolina: 19,300, +3%

6. Illinois: 17,800, +14%

7. New Jersey: 14,500, +15%

8. Louisiana: 14,000, +22%

9. California: 12,400, +10%

10. South Carolina: 12,000, +10%

The CARFAX information also included a list of the top 10 cities with flooded cars. Houston, New York, Philadelphia, and Miami-Fort Lauderdale lead the way.

United Road’s 5-point approach to transportation during pandemic

car hauler

United Road recently highlighted the five special initiatives the transportation company is using during the COVID-19 pandemic to help OEMs, dealerships, rental-car companies, auctions and other consignors and wholesalers get vehicles shipped to and from intended destinations.

“United Road is doing what it takes to support our customers, being agile and fluid as customers replenish inventories, buy and sell vehicles, reposition fleets, and haul-away oversized trucks,” United Road president and chief executive officer Mark Anderson said in a news release.

“We’ve expanded capacity and are getting smarter every day in how we operate,” Anderson continued. “We have doubled down on tech-savvy solutions, expanded our carrier partner network and increased capacity by 25% over 2019. Our goal is to make it fast and simple for customers to move vehicles when and where they need them — whether one unit or multi-unit, from standard sized vehicles to oversized trucks.”

Anderson pointed out several ways United Road is looking to get its customer vehicles moving. These initiatives include:

• Financial incentive: Special 10% discount for booking the next three moves is helping dealers transport vehicles and cut expenses

• Technology-enabled solutions that put information including pricing and vehicle tracking in customer hands on their iPhones in real time

• Touch-free delivery

• Expanded customer service hours and resource support

• A new user-friendly United Road website

“Each customer, each vehicle move is unique,” Anderson said. “United Road’s portfolio of companies including Team Drive-Away and Pilot enables us to deliver on a diverse range of customer needs — from single and multi- vehicle and heavy-haul interstate transport to storage and specialty vehicle enclosed moves.

“While operating during the pandemic has been challenging it has brought out the best in our team of professional drivers and carrier partners and customer support professionals. We are grateful for everyone’s service and adaptability,” he went on to say.

United Road shared perspectives from a couple of clients that have taken advantage of these special actions and promotions the transportation company have taken during the pandemic. One came from Mike Lupacchino, who is director of national traffic of Subaru of North America and used United Road needed to move and store new vehicles from railheads and ports.

“I would like to thank United Road for the continued support, not only on storage opportunities, but especially the help at our Lafayette, Ind., manufacturing plant and Elwood, Ill., railroad ramp, as well as the ports and railheads that United Road continued to ship from during these challenging months. United Road has always been a critical partner in Subaru’s success,” Lupacchino said.

John Piatak of Fair offered this assessment about United Road moving its used vehicles: “I have partnered with United Road at two companies — both of which designed and implemented innovative solutions to the challenge of moving cars to customers. As in the past, United Road proved to be a creative and reliable partner with developing delivery solutions that met both the customer and driver's safety needs during the COVID-19 crisis.”

Anderson also emphasized employee well-being and customer safety continue to be paramount at United Road.

The company mentioned safety precautions include digital communication and transactions that can enable customers and car haulers to avoid signatures and sharing devices at time of delivery. Drivers and terminal professionals use masks and sanitation kits and follow appropriate distancing and cleaning procedures.

“United Road is laser-focused on helping our customers get on the road to economic recovery,” Anderson said. “Today’s business climate is fluid and ever changing. More than ever, United Road is driven to deliver.”

Popular makes and models list: Japan, US make strong showing

2019_Toyota_Camry_LE_03_5B1336AB3634371D5A4F04C52C4AD814FDD791FF

The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association has invested billions of dollars in the last decade toward convincing U.S. drivers to drive Japanese cars, according to insurance comparison website, Pretected.com.

“And it seems like it’s paying off,” Pretected writes in a news release.

Basing its information on more than 1 million drivers who were looking to insure their car with Pretected.com, the insurance company said the Toyota Camry is the most popular car in America for the first half of 2020. The Honda Accord places second.

“In third place is the good old Ford F-150,” Pretected writes.

Although the two most popular models come from overseas, American manufacturers also made a strong showing in Pretected’s list of the top 10 most popular car makers overall in America for 2020:

1. Chevrolet:  For 2020, the Chevy Silverado is the most popular model from Chevrolet.

2. Ford: The most popular Ford models in America this year are the F150, Ford Focus and Ford Fusion.

3. Toyota: The Camry and Corolla are the two most popular Toyota models in America this year.

4. Nissan: Producing the fourth place on America's most popular cars list, the Nissan Altima

5. Honda: With its dependability and sturdiness, the Honda Accord is the second-most popular car in America.

6. Dodge: It is one of America’s most recognizable brands, with vehicles based on old-fashioned values such as size, power and style.

7. Hyundai: Hyundai’s Ulsan Factory in South Korea produces around 1.6 million cars each year, the most in the world.

8. KIA: Following Hyundai, Kia Motors is South Korea’s second-largest automobile manufacturer.

9. Jeep :The Jeep Cherokee remains one of America’s most popular SUVs.

10. GMC: GMC offers SUV and truck options such as the compact Terrain crossover and the Sierra.

These are the best used hybrids, electrics under $20K

Kelley Blue Book describes the 2018 Toyota Prius as “smooth and precise.” It also says the vehicle is “comfortable, quiet and easy to drive.”

“It’s also agile,” the company writes.

For those reasons, Kelley Blue Book has placed the 2018 Prius at the top of its latest list of “10 Best Used Hybrids and Electric Cars Under $20,000.”

No. 2 on the list is the 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid, which Kelley Blue Book says is a good choice for those looking for a “comfortable, roomy, reliable way to save money on gas.”

Kelley Blue Book wrote that with hybrid and electric vehicles coming such a long way, options for those considering an alternative-fuel model “have never been greater.”

In addition to the best used hybrids and electric cars under $20,000, Kelley Blue Book also named its “10 Best Plug-In Hybrid Cars Under $40,000 and “10 Longest-Range Electric Cars of 2020.”

But back to the list of used hybrids and electric cars under $20,000, coming in at No. 3 is the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, which Kelley Blue Book said is a five-time Mid-Size Sedan Best Buy winner. Kelley described the Accord Hybrid as “the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan on this list.”

“It also delivers all the comfort, convenience, and excellent resale value of its more established sibling,” Kelley Blue Book wrote.

Toyota showed three vehicles on the list of best used hybrids and electric cars under $20,000, in addition to one Lexus.

Kia placed two vehicles on the list, and Kelley Blue Book said the 2019 Kia Optima Hybrid gets 45 highway miles per gallon “while offering the tech-forward features of the regular sedan.”

On Kelley Blue Book’s list of 10 Best Plug-in Hybrid Cars Under $40,000, the 2020 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid came out on top.

On its list of 10 Longest Range Electric Cars of 2020, the 2020 Tesla Model S Long Range came in at No. 1, with Kelley writing that the vehicle offers up to 373 miles of driving range on a single battery charge.

Kelley Blue Book executive editor Michael Harley said that with each new model year, the number of available hybrid and electric vehicles continues to grow.

“Regardless of your lifestyle, there are a variety of vehicles to choose from in SUVs, hatchbacks, and sedans, and even at a more budget-conscious price if you’re shopping used,” Harley said in a news release.

Harley continued, “One of the most underrated deals is to buy a used hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or all-electric vehicle — many of these are sold as ‘manufacturer certified’ with extended warranties. With a plug-in hybrid vehicle, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Some of the most recent models deliver enough all-electric range that you can commute every day and never have to fill the gas tank.”

Also during this time of social distancing, Kelley provided a site showing the latest on how to shop for a vehicle safely and conveniently online.
