TrueCar YOUTUBE

Continuing benefits such as members’ ability to receive real transactable price offers on actual inventory on the dealer’s lot, TrueCar has extended its current AAA Auto Buying Program, powered by TrueCar.

With the extension, more than 41 million AAA members in select areas will have access to the TrueCar powered Auto Buying Program through the end of 2023. TrueCar-powered auto buying services are available only in participating AAA club territories.

Price context is another benefit of the program. Members can see what others paid for their new vehicle of interest in a local area. They can also view price ratings on used vehicles and can save on average more than $3,000 off MSRP on new vehicles. They can receive discounts on used vehicles.

Additional benefits:

— Trade-in or sell. Members can get a value on their existing vehicle and receive a real cash offer in minutes

— Build your deal online. By doing that, members can save time at the dealership

— Buy from home. Members can identify TrueCar certified dealers offering remote paperwork, vehicle delivery and vehicle sanitization

— Extensive dealer network. Members can gain access to TrueCar’s certified dealer network, which includes dealers nationwide

This is the program’s 13th  year with TrueCar as a AAA preferred supplier.

"AAA is one of the best known and most trusted brands for car owners,” TrueCar chief executive officer and president Mike Darrow said in a news release.

Darrow also said, “Being a trusted resource and empowering hundreds of thousands of AAA members as they make one of their biggest financial decisions is something that we are extremely proud to continue through the AAA Auto Buying Program.”

Through a new affinity partnership between TrueCar and an e-commerce website for active and veteran U.S. military members, first responders and law enforcement, those individuals will be able to receive upfront transactable price offers on vehicles.

TrueCar’s partnership is with GovX, an e-commerce website for active and veteran U.S. military, police, fire, emergency rescue and medical technicians, and others from related government agencies.

Under the program, those GovX members will be able to see what others paid for the same vehicle of interest and use TrueCar’s digital deal-building capabilities.

Providing more details on the program, TrueCar said GovX members will see what others paid for their new vehicle of interest in a local area and view price ratings on used vehicles. They will save on average of more than $3,500 off MSRP (actual savings may vary) on new vehicles and receive discounts on used vehicles. Used-car discounts are not available in all states.

Members will receive real transactable price offers on actual inventory on the dealer’s lot.

They can receive a value on their existing vehicle and receive a real cash offer in minutes.

To save time at the dealership, members can also build a deal online, including factors such as trade-in value and preferred terms.

A buy-from-home benefit involves identifying TrueCar certified dealers that offer remote paperwork, vehicle delivery and vehicle sanitization.

In addition, members can gain access to TrueCar’s certified network of dealers nationwide.

TrueCar launched TrueCar Military last year. That vehicle purchase program provides exclusive military incentives and benefits on top of TrueCar’s existing benefits, to armed forces members and their families. TrueCar has worked for more than 14 years to assist the men and women of the military through affinity car-buying partnerships with military service organizations.

GovX Inc. senior vice president Chris Bohnert said TrueCar provides ease and transparency in the car buying experience, in addition to customer service and support.

“These are extremely meaningful value propositions for us and our members who have the responsibility and honor of protecting and serving our great country,” Bohnert said in a news release. “TrueCar shares our same deep commitment to providing service members with the value and benefits they deserve. We are excited for our members to experience this new and improved way to buy a car.”

TrueCar president and chief executive officer Mike Darrow said the partnership will provide a more transparent and efficient method for servicemembers, first responders and law enforcement to purchase a vehicle.

“Through our partnership, GovX members will receive a first-class car buying experience and competitive pricing that they can trust,” Darrow said.

Valeri Tompkins says that through a new Pentagon Federal Credit Union program, members can discover the Volvo brand “in an intimate way” through the PenFed Car Buying Service, which is powered by TrueCar.

Tompkins is senior vice president at TrueCar, and she is referring to the Volvo PenFed Member Offer, which provides members of Pentagon Federal Credit Union, or PenFed, with preferred pricing and other incentives. PenFed, TrueCar and Volvo Car USA are partners on the private targeted incentive program.

“This is a fantastic offer that provides PenFed members access to special prices, plus incentives across Volvo’s premium lineup of vehicles,” Tompkins said in a news release.

PenFed says it is America’s second-largest federal credit union. Established in 1935, it serves 1.8 million members worldwide with $24.5 billion in assets.

The Volvo PenFed Member Offer is available until Jan. 2 through the PenFed Car Buying Service powered by TrueCar.

Through the program, PenFed members are eligible to receive $1,000 military purchase bonus cash on purchased vehicles, plus Affinity Program Pricing, which PenFed says is equivalent to Volvo’s employee pricing. The offer is valid nationwide at any Volvo dealership.

For PenFed members, special incentives are available on select 2019 and 2020 Volvo models, including the XC40 luxury compact SUV.

“We’re excited to add another money- and time-saving benefit to the PenFed Car Buying Service members shopping for a new vehicle,” said PenFed vice president of auto lending product sales Ivan McBride.

McBride added, “PenFed members considering a new Volvo can confidently purchase the vehicle, knowing they are getting an exceptional deal.”

“Volvo Car USA is pleased to participate in this special offer for PenFed members in partnership with TrueCar,” said Volvo national media relations manager Russell Datz.

Datz continued, “We hope this is just the first of many great benefits PenFed members will enjoy as they become a part of the Volvo family.”

To activate the offer, PenFed members can log in to their online PenFed account. Members can visit PenFed.org and go to the PenFed Car Buying Service. Or they can visit the PenFed Car Buying Service directly and log in to validate their membership. Once validated, members can search for a new Volvo.

Yavor Efremov says that up to now, no path has existed for Motor1.com users to buy a new or used car after they have read Motor1.com reviews and research content.

Motor1.com is part of the Motorsport Network, and Efremov, who is chief executive officer of the network, said U.S.-based car buyers, through Motor1.com, can now access TrueCar’s price benchmarking data and tools and receive upfront transparent price offers from its network of dealers.

Efremov was referring to the news announced on Thursday that Motor1.com and TrueCar have partnered to offer TrueCar’s car buying platform to Motor1.com USA’s 10 million unique monthly users.

The company says that with its new Motor1.com Auto Buying Program, powered by TrueCar, Motor1.com USA’s visitors now have an efficient and transparent method of buying their next vehicle. Users can access the program through various entry points on Motor1.com’s homepage, article pages and new-car reviews.

“As one of the top destinations for automotive enthusiasts and in-market shoppers alike, we are pleased to offer our readers all of the tools necessary to make an informed auto buying decision,” Efremov said.

Motor1.com said price context is one of the benefits of its Auto Buying Program. Users can see what others recently paid for a new vehicle, and that data is based on actual vehicle transactions in a local area, according to the company. Users can also see machine learning-powered used-vehicle ratings that help assess used-vehicle price competitiveness.

Transparent, competitive pricing is another benefit, according to the company. Upfront, discounted price offers are available on actual inventory from TrueCar certified dealers. Users also gain access to competitive prices. According to the company, between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2018, the average savings off MSRP for consumers who connected with a TrueCar Certified Dealer through a TrueCar-powered auto buying program and who were identified as buying a new vehicle from that certified dealer was $3,402.

Users also receive discounts on used vehicles (not available in all states).

Simple vehicle valuation backed by a check is another benefit, according to Motor1.com. Users get access to TrueCar’s trade-in or sell experience that the company says provides consumers with a real-time market value for their vehicle and a cash offer from a local dealer.

Users also get up to $2,000 In post-sale benefits, according to the company. Shoppers can report their purchase and receive up to $2,000 in additional post-sale incentives. Those include services such as auto repair and auto insurance deductible reimbursement.
