State Line Auto Auction was founded in 1981 by Harry and Zora Barber as an entrepreneurial venture. In June of 1981, Mr. Barber held his first auction featuring 107 vehicles, of which 27 were sold.

State Line’s current president, Jeff Barber, joined his parents’ business in 1983 as General Manager. Using his sales and marketing skills, he worked relentlessly to recruit new business from leasing companies and other commercial accounts, leading the company through an impressive period of growth. Jeff became president of State Line Auto Auction in 1984 upon his father’s death, and has been the sole owner of the business since 1994. Using the same entrepreneurial spirit his father had, Jeff continues to make improvements in the company’s facilities and services and is committed to maintaining State Line’s leadership position as an independent auto auction.
