OAKBROOK, Ill. — Dale Pollak, founder and chairman of vAuto, recently released his second book, Velocity 2.0: Paint, Pixels & Profitability, which offers dealers ROI-based management metrics and processes that they can use to boost the efficiency and profitability of their used-car operations.

The new book continues from where his first book, Velocity: From the Front Line to the Bottom Line, ended.

It starts off by recognizing the unprecedented volatility and challenges in the used-vehicle market, something officials called a "tough reality driven by the power of the Internet and a troubled economy."

Essentially, Velocity 2.0 is designed to show dealers how they can hurdle these challenges and get a step ahead of their competitors.

"Our industry is at a critical crossroads where mere survival is an open question," Pollak shared. "Velocity 2.0 offers a roadmap to help dealerships harness the latest technology and management philosophies that reduce market risks and pave the way for long-term success."
