NEW YORK -

Hearst Autos has a new chief executive officer.

Named to the post was Matt Sanchez, who comes over from Say Media, a company he co-founded and served as CEO.

Hearst Autos includes such properties as Jumpstart Automotive Media, Car and Driver, Road & Track and the Blend Line.

Hearst Magazines president Troy Young made the announcement. Sanchez will report to Young.

Hearst Autos includes all the auto sales and marketing activities for Hearst Magazines. Sanchez will head up all aspects of the Hearst Autos division

“Hearst Autos has best-in-class brands and an incredible understanding of the automotive consumer,” Sanchez said in a news release. “I look forward to working with this talented team to further strengthen the power of our platforms and lead the discussion about the future of transportation.”

Young added: “Matt’s entrepreneurial spirit and inspiring leadership will play an integral role in moving our business forward as we begin an exciting new phase for Hearst Autos. I know his deep knowledge of digital publishing, advertising, technology and operations will elevate our business to even greater success.”
