ST. LOUIS -

Automotive logistics company ACERTUS has promoted John Heimann to chief information officer. Heimann was previously ACERTUS associate vice president of information technology.

In the new position, Heimann will direct the overall strategy of the company’s IT function, with a goal of helping the company stay ahead of industry trends.

ACERTUS co-founder and chief executive officer William Billiter said in a news release that Heimann’s nearly 30 years of information systems management and technology integration experience, along with 20 years of transportation experience, make him the right person to lead the company’s IT activities.

“Technology is the lifeblood of each and every one of our business functions, from our internal operating systems to our client-facing solutions,” said Billiter said. “As we continue to leverage technology to redefine an industry, identifying the right person to lead our IT efforts is a paramount consideration. I have no doubt that John’s unique blend of technological knowledge and strategic business acumen represents the ideal fit for our core values, corporate culture and strategic business goals.”

Heimann has been associate vice president of information technology for ACERTUS since 2018. He previously worked for Express Scripts in St. Louis, serving in positions including senior manager of IT, director of campaign management, and director of integration and initiatives.

His IT career also includes positions with Union Pacific Technologies and Transentric.

“It’s crucial that our proprietary technology continues to scale, is efficient and resilient, and provides our customers and internal teams with the most powerful tools to make more informed decisions,” Billiter said. “Simply put, technology will always represent the backbone of ACERTUS brand’s unique value proposition.”
