CARMEL, Ind. -

ADESA, a business unit of KAR Auction Services, announced Tuesday that it has named new general managers at ADESA Chicago and ADESA Fresno.

The company has promoted Matt Itami from ADESA Flint to head its Chicago location and appointed ADESA Los Angeles’ Cheryl Toler as new GM at ADESA Fresno.

These promotions follow news from April that the company appointed former ADESA San Diego general manager Ted Coates to head its ADESA Los Angeles auction.

“At ADESA we continue to invest in improving the customer experience at our physical auctions and fully integrating ancillary services and digital technology to create a seamless, efficient auction experience for our customers,” company chief operating officer Srisu Subrahmanyam said in a news release. “Matt and Cheryl already have proven track records of success at ADESA and established industry relationships that will help further ADESA’s commitment to its customers and meeting their needs.”

Itami brings six years of auto auction experience that includes serving as assistant GM at ADESA Flint for the past year, according to the company.

And he also previously spent time as a business manager at Flint Auto Auction and finance and operations manager for Inviso.

Meanwhile, the company said that Toler brings 30 years of auto auction experience to her new role as the new Fresno GM, and she most recently served as assistant GM at ADESA Los Angeles.

Prior to joining ADESA Los Angeles in 2002, Toler first spent time in the auction industry at ADT Automotive in 1988.
