Columbus Fair Auto Auction is gearing up for its upcoming charity event and its largest GM Financial sale next week, the auction announced Wednesday.

In just a few days, the auction will host the 32nd Annual William Jacobs Memorial Golf Outing in support of the Columbus City School’s Eastmoor Academy football field re-sodding project, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and the Special Olympics on Monday.

Two special guests who are scheduled to join the charity event include two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin, who played for Ohio State, and Columbus Urban League president and chief executive officer Stephanie Hightower.

“This is such a special event each year and to see it come together, spending the day with our consignors and dealer partners is very satisfying,” said CFAA owner and chief executive officer Alexis Jacobs said in a news release. “And this year, to be able to help three different charities says a lot about all those involved.”

Prior to a dinner and prize awards presentation, the charity event will include a silent auction, a shot-gun start and various other games that golfers can pay to play.

Meanwhile, just two days after the charity event, CFAA will host what it has projected will be its largest and most extensive GM Financial sale.

CFAA said that its GM Mega Sale on Wednesday will feature over 500 GM Financial off-lease vehicles and rental units across two sales lanes.

“If dealers haven’t bought in the GM lanes before, or haven’t bought in the GM lanes for a while, this sale is certainly the time to do it,” said Tim French, CFAA vice president of sales. “There promises to be a lot of action, prizes, and giveaways, something for everyone.”

The auction said the sale will be comic-con themed and feature a GM Financial Remarketing led roundtable discussion.

During the upcoming roundtable, independent and franchise dealers will have the opportunity to glean insights from GM representatives for an hour, according to CFAA.

“This is a unique opportunity for CFAA buyers to get in front of GM,” auction director of dealer sales Josh Koronich said. “GM is asking for feedback, and I know our dealers have opinions and ideas so now is a great time for them to express these ideas.”

Ahead of the sale, CFAA will host a preview dinner on Tuesday evening buyers for those interested in reviewing available units just before they’re scheduled to cross the block on Wednesday.

The upcoming GM sale is set to start Wednesday morning at 10:15 a.m. ET.
