SPOKANE, Wash. -

Late next month, DAA Northwest will broaden its reach into Western Washington state and open up a new auction located in Auburn, Wash.

It will be known as DAA Seattle.

This was the news from DAA Northwest president Bob McConkey on Thursday, as he shared this with customers during opening announcements at the Spokane, Wash., auction.

McConkey and DAA vice president Greg Mahugh grew up close to the new facility in Auburn.

“We are excited to expand into a marketplace that we are very familiar with and feel a special connection to,” said McConkey.

Dave Walker and Jim Kriens will head up DAA’s Seattle team, with Walker as auction manager and Kriens leading sales. Walker has served as a Western Washington field representative for DAA Northwest, and both were touted for the experience they’ll bring.

The 16-acre DAA Seattle will hold weekly sales and is a member of McConkey Auction Group and ServNet, powered by Auction Edge.

“During our time in the field, Jim and I learned that dealers are eager for the ‘DAA Experience’ within their market. The time is right for that to happen,” Walker said.
