CARMEL, Ind. -

KAR Auction Services chief legal officer and corporate secretary Becca Polak, who is also the president of the company’s TradeRev business unit, has submitted a notice of resignation from KAR, the company said in a statement Monday.

KAR general counsel Chuck Coleman will take on responsibilities of corporate secretary while remaining in the general counsel role. He will report to KAR chairman and chief executive Jim Hallett.

Mark Endras, one of the co-founders of TradeRev and its current chief technology officer, will take on the role of TradeRev president. He will report to KAR president Peter Kelly.

Polak joined KAR as associate general counsel in 2005. She was promoted to executive vice president, general counsel and secretary in 2007.

Polak became KAR’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary, as well as TradeRev president, in October 2017.

KAR, a publicly traded company, filed an 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.

The 8-K indicates that the resignation is effective Oct. 8. It notes that Polak and KAR plan on entering a consulting agreement, whereby Polak will provide consulting services to KAR from Oct. 8 through Dec. 31.

Polak, a frequent speaker at Cherokee Media Group conferences, was one of Auto Remarketing’s 2015 Women in Remarketing honorees.
