DALLAS -

Global online vehicle auction company Copart has opened a new location in Buffalo, N.Y., and the company’s chief executive officer Jay Adair said the expansion is another step toward the company’s efforts to create “a denser network of facilities in the state.”

The new location is the sixth for Copart in the state of New York, and the company said the new facility will serve as a “complement” to its Rochester location. The location in Buffalo, the second-largest city in the state, will help provide capacity for operations in the state’s Western region.

Through Copart's proprietary VB3 auction technology or by using Copart’s mobile app, eligible buyers will have the ability to place bids online. A bidding kiosk will be onsite at the Copart Buffalo location, which will host bi-weekly auctions on Mondays at 9 a.m. central time or 10 a.m. eastern time, beginning on July 29.

"We look forward to providing Buffalo with an unmatched buying and selling experience through our people, processes and technology," general manager Tim Bennett said in a news release.

Adair added, “We are thrilled about the opportunity to serve our customers with our new facility."”
