DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -

The Ed Morse Automotive Group has entered into the Missouri market by acquiring four dealerships in the state. The company acquired two dealerships in the city of Lebanon, and one each in Saint Robert and Rolla.

These new dealerships will be Ed Morse Chevrolet, formerly Lindsay Chevrolet, in Lebanon; Ed Morse Ford, formerly Lindsay Ford in Lebanon; Ed Morse Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, formerly Lindsay Chrysler Dodge in Saint Robert; and Ed Morse Chevrolet Buick GMC, formerly Fairground Auto Plaza, in Rolla.

Ed Morse purchased the dealerships from Lindsay Auto Group and Fairground Auto Group.

“Our entrance into Missouri is exciting and we are honored to add these dealerships in the great communities of Rolla, Lebanon and Saint Robert,” Ed Morse Automotive Group chairman and chief executive officer, Teddy Morse said in a news release.

Morse also said, “We are looking not only to continue these dealerships’ history of exceptional deals and outstanding customer service but to make significant capital improvements as well.  We also look forward to supporting the local communities with job growth and giving back to local non-profits.”

For Ed Morse Automotive Group, a family-owned business for 75 years, the acquisitions will add more than 150 employees to its 1,400-plus employee base.

The acquisitions will grow their locations to 24 dealership locations, 42 franchises and 15 automotive brands.

Morse said the company’s expansion last year into Northern Texas and Oklahoma was successful.

“We are very excited to add these dealerships to our family and look forward to establishing our trusted family name in such an important region,” Morse said.
