CLEVELAND -

Bernie Moreno Companies (BMC) has made an investment in the Dryver personal driver service to help the company boost activity in current markets and support new growth.

The BMC dealership group announced Monday that it has partnered with Dryver to expand its business, but details and terms of the investment and partnership have not been disclosed.

Founded in 2010, the Dryver personal driver service can provide businesses and individuals with drivers in a convenient way. Users can book driver reservations through the Dryver smartphone app, website or Ohio-based call center.

“We are excited to be working with Dryver,” BMC president Bernie Moreno said in a news release. “They are a perfect partner for us because they share our blueprint for success: a good idea, cutting-edge technology, talented leadership and an entrepreneurial spirit.

“That’s a winning recipe for not only a young company but for our entire region. Companies like Dryver hold the key to Cleveland’s future economy. We are thrilled to be able to partner with them, accelerate their success and diversify our business.”

Dryver now operates in 77 U.S. cities and its consumer-facing services include designated drivers, personal drivers, non-emergency medical transportation, senior/elderly assistance and corporate transportation, according to BMC.

The company currently works with dealerships, rental-car locations, medical-transportation providers to provide fleet movements and general driver staffing.

“For more than a decade, Bernie Moreno Companies has proven that you don’t need to be ultra-rich to afford a luxury vehicle,” said Dryver chief executive officer Arthur Simanovsky. “Dryver is proving that you don’t need to be a billionaire to have your own driver. We are excited to see what will happen when our two successful Cleveland-born businesses join forces in this partnership.”
