Carousel Motor Group, which is part of the Pohlad Companies, has launched an ecommerce platform to buy and sell used vehicles.

The dealer group teamed up with Cox Automotive to develop the platform, which is called Carousel Online.

The platform allows for an entirely digital buying process, including 360-degree virtual tours, concierge experts available online, virtual trade-in evaluations, monthly payment information and no-haggle financing.

It also includes aftermarket insurance products, online paperwork and home delivery.

"We've taken the lessons and wisdom from our brick-and-mortar dealerships and translated that to a better online experience — and we will continue to research and reinvent to ensure vehicle buying just keeps getting easier and more enjoyable,” said Angie Gustafson, who is Carousel’s vice president of customer experience, in a news release.

"Many of these startups have hurdles to overcome from title processing and registration to delivery delays, or the inability to fully transact online. Unfortunately, this just creates more frustration for buyers," Carousel president and chief executive officer Chase Hawkins said in the release, referring to third-party automotive ecommerce sites. "We have the operational experience to provide our customers with the convenience and ease of a premium digital experience, in an otherwise non-premium space."
