ATLANTA -

This past month, certified pre-owned full-size trucks may have gotten a bit harder to pick up for dealers and consumers, alike. This is just one of the findings that popped up in the latest installment of vehicle scarcity data that is provided monthly to Auto Remarketing by AutoTrader.com.

The auto industry saw what AutoTrader called a “resurgence” of scarcity for these units. In particular, the Ford F-250 and F-350, Chevrolet Silverado 2500, GMC Sierra 2500, Ram 2500 and 3500 proved particularly hard to find.

Breaking it down by the individual markets, AutoTrader shared some of the scarcity rankings for these trucks:

Boston: Ford F-350 at No. 5, Chevrolet Silverado 2500 at No. 6, and the GMC Sierra 2500 at No. 9
Houston: Ram 3500 at No. 9 and the Ford F-250 at No. 10
Los Angeles: Chevy Silverado 2500 at No. 3 and the GMC Sierra 1500 at No. 8
Philadelphia: Ram 2500 at No. 5, Ford F-250 at No. 6 and the Ford F-350 at No. 8
Washington, D.C.: Ram 1500 at No. 8

As for used, non-CPO full-size trucks, these units also emerged on AutoTrader’s scarcity lists.

For example in Atlanta, the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 came in at No. 7, and the Ford F-450 was at No. 10.

Farther north in Philadelphia, the Ram 3500 came in at at No. 6 and the Ram 2500 was at No. 10.

On the West Coast in Los Angeles, the Chevrolet Silverado 3500 came in at No. 2, with the GMC Sierra 2500 at No. 3, Ford F-350 at No. 6, Ram 2500 at No. 8 and Ford F-250 at No. 9

Also, touching on what has been the norm for the past few months, CPO luxury cars remain scarce nationally in the new year, said AutoTrader, particularly the Audi (A and S-series models) and Porsche (911, Cayman) models.

AutoTrader also provided the following charts to illustrate its findings:
