ReviverMX sells digital license plates allowing motor vehicle administrations to digitize vehicle registration renewals and other transactions. The company last month said it began supporting Arizona digital initiatives such as All in for Arizona Schools.

On Thursday, ReviverMX said Arizona State University would offer ReviverMX’s Rplate to its members.

The Arizona State agreement calls for Reviver to supply the university with various designs of Rplates. Each of those designs can change background colors and display Arizona Department of Traffic-approved, ASU-tuned banner messages.

The Rplate is currently cleared for sale in California and Arizona, and out of Arizona State’s more than 500,000 alumni worldwide, more than 300,000 live in California and Arizona.

Penetration of ASU-themed metal plate sales to Arizona-based alumni has been approximately 10% to 11% so far.

Arizona State assistant vice president, Martha Byrd said the university was excited to offer the Rplate to its alumni.

“With their many ASU-tuned features, Rplates will extend our reach to California alumni and provide a visually compelling alternative to the metal plates we typically offer Arizona-based alumni — and a great way for our members to express their affinity with their alma mater,” Byrd said in a news release.

Reviver founder and chief strategy officer Neville Boston said the company began selling Rplates in Arizona in 2019 and was excited to offer the special ASU-themed Rplates to alumni members.

“With more than 50,000 ASU alumni in California, their reach to alumni for ASU-themed plates will grow as adoption of our DLPs advances nationally,” Boston said, adding that Rplates are an efficient time- and-hassle-saving tool for vehicle owners.

“Rplates are perfect customizable platforms for displaying warmth and loyalty,” Boston said. “We look forward to establishing additional agreements of this type in the future.”

The basic Reviver Rplate can renew registration electronically, doing that without the need for stickers and most other DMV paperwork.

The Rplate can be customized to create different  background colors and banner messages.

Reviver's Rplate Pro adds several telematics features. Those include trip and mileage tracking and the ability to display stolen and amber alerts, tell you where you left your car, and inform you if anyone has driven the vehicle outside of a preselected radius.

Both plates are linked to Reviver's secure server. They are managed through an encrypted app.

Sold in California and Arizona, Reviver’s Rplate and Rplate Pro are legal for driving across all 50 states. Reviver said 11 additional states are engaged in various stages of adoption.
