Carvana is once again moving northward, announcing Wednesday it has launched in Philadelphia. This is the company’s 23rd market nationwide and its second in Pennsylvania.

It launched in Pittsburgh in late 2016.

Earlier this month, the online retailer opened its fourth “Car Vending Machine,” the latest being in San Antonio. Last week, Carvana teamed up with the second-largest credit union in Texas. 

Philadelphia is the second market Carvana has added this year. In February, it opened up shop in Hampton Roads, Va. 

“We’re thrilled to finally be in the City of Brotherly Love. Not only is it a major hub in Northeast with one of the largest populations in the country, but it has a culture of early tech adoption,” Carvana founder and chief executive officer Ernie Garcia said in a news release. “We launched our free, as-soon-as next-day delivery services in Pittsburgh late last year, and now with the expansion into Philadelphia, we will be able to offer those services to many more residents in southeastern Pennsylvania.”

Carvana said it has delivered vehicles throughout 47 states. Free delivery (as soon as next day) is available in 23 markets. 

As it has done with prior expansions, Carvana is providing a full refund of delivery fees paid to buyers in Philly who bought before the expansion.
