DALLAS -

Global online vehicle auction company Copart and online title processing software developer CHAMPtitles have introduced an automated digital platform for car sellers, including insurance companies.

The companies say the platform lessens the need for manual paper and mail-oriented vehicle title processing.

Copart president Jeff Liaw said the company strives to deliver industry-leading services to its buyers and sellers.

“That is why we aligned with CHAMPtitles to offer a platform that delivers accelerated title turnaround times and reduced claims management costs,” Liaw said in a news release.

CHAMPtitles is focusing on bringing vehicle title processing into the digital era, said CHAMPtitles chief executive officer Shane Bigelow.

“We are excited to deliver with Copart a transformative approach to title processing,” Bigelow said in a news release.

Copart said CHAMPtitles is currently being used in states where the service is permitted. It is expected to be implemented in additional states soon.

In other Copart news, the company  said it added a new location in Mallorca, Spain.

“We are thrilled to open Copart’s seventh facility in Spain, to serve our customers,” said Spain managing director Santiago Zamit.

The facility is in the Balearic Islands of the Mediterranean.

Copart buyers in Spain can download Copart’s Mobile App to gain access to vehicle inventory any time. To view the location’s contact information, sale lists and inventory, visit the Copart Mallorca page.

"We are excited to continue growing our presence in Spain by opening our Mallorca location." Liaw said.
