AUSTIN, Texas -

Keeping track of loaners and their usage might be more manageable now that Dealerware and CDK Global are working together.

Fleet management platform Dealerware announced on Tuesday that it has become a participant in the CDK Global Partner Program, a partnership designed to allow service departments to gain critical efficiencies that increase fleet utilization, customer satisfaction and profitability.

As a member of one of the largest third-party partner programs in the industry, Dealerware is now part of the marketplace of applications and integration choices, CDK Global, an enabler of end-to-end automotive commerce, developed to help automotive dealers succeed.

While Dealerware customers have reported that loaner fleets are one of the most immediate and abundant sources of profitability at the dealership today, the company stressed thta service departments must be able to maximize program efficiency while delivering an exceptional customer experience to be able to fully realize those profits.

“One of the biggest levers that service departments can use for better profitability is the ability to reduce the length of the loan and increase the utilization of their loaner fleet,” said Russell Lemmer, general manager and executive vice president of Dealerware.

“The integration with CDK technology will allow Dealerware to instantly know when repair orders are complete and automatically communicate that information to customers via a convenient text message,” Lemmer continued. “By increasing fleet utilization, dealers can achieve new levels of service ROI by using fewer vehicles or doing more with their existing fleet, which is a real game-changer.”

An end-to-end, digital solution continues to be one of the quickest ways to save time and reduce friction for both the dealerships and customers. By leveraging automation and real-time insights, the companies say the Dealerware and CDK integration can reduce the length of time a customer keeps a loaner vehicle by 20-30 percent on average, while communicating in line with customers’ preferences.

“We’re very pleased to introduce Dealerware as the newest member of the CDK Global Partner Program,” said Howard Gardner, vice president and general manager, CDK Data Services.

“Dealerware is a welcome addition to our vibrant program that provides dealers with a range of partner choices and the assurance that their programs can be seamlessly integrated with our applications,” Gardner continued.

The CDK Global Partner Program provides its partners with access to a diverse CDK ecosystem through the ability to integrate with a range of CDK applications, as well as with CDK dealer websites.
