RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -

The Spiffy model is now allowing franchising of its on-demand car care, technology and services model.

The company, which currently operates in 17 metropolitan areas, announced Thursday that it will start accepting franchise licenses in new markets.

“We started Spiffy six years ago with the idea to leverage digital technologies to disrupt the existing automotive service industry,” Spiffy chief executive officer Scot Wingo said in a news release.

“We’ve seen tremendous demand and our move into franchising opens the door for an army of enthusiastic entrepreneurs to join us as we provide a digital 10X better customer experience,” he said.

Spiffy said a third of its service requests originate from areas outside of its own markets, so the company decided franchising would help expand its reach.

“This is a crucial moment for Spiffy,” said Connor Finnegan, the company’s vice president of strategy, in the release.

“We’ve been steadily growing towards this milestone since we secured additional funding last year, and have been in contact with many individuals looking to learn more about operating under our brand,” Finnegan said. “We’re eager to expand our reach with many talented operators across the country!”

Spiffy’s services include mobile car wash, detail, disinfection, oil change, tires and fleet fueling. It is headquartered in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina.
