NORFOLK, Va. -

Dominion Dealer Solutions has introduced a newly enhanced cloud-based DMS solution, the company announced Tuesday.

Along with allowing flexibility for third-party integration, Dominion's VUE DMS features browser-based tablet-ready software for dealership service advisers.

A fully-integrated service application within the updated DMS features several built-in modules, including electronic multi-point inspections (MPI) functionality, maintenance menus and simplified route sheets.

“Our built-in features and functionalities will help dealers save time in training and implementation as well,” Van Koppersmith Dominion DMS president said in a news release. “Our goal to create the easiest-to-use DMS is best represented in the complete feature set of our fixed ops solution.

“We have taken every effort to anticipate dealers’ needs by building functionality into the core product, but we are also maintaining an open framework so that we can integrate with other applications that our dealers may need.”

Furthermore, the MPI application adds touch-screen functionality and automation to not only reduce human error, but also help cut down on the amount time it takes for service technicians to finish inspections, according to Dominion.

Along with preset text selectors that are designed to help users quickly fill out fields and 3-D video display to help advisers explain recommended maintenance needs, Dominion VUE features model-specific digitized maintenance menus designed to reduce training time and improve the customer experience.

With digitized maintenance menus, employees can quickly learn the Dominion VUE software and access trim-level details for the vehicles that come in from a single screen.

Dominion VUE is completing beta roll out with a Midwest-based dealer group and announced a timed roll out to other U.S. dealers nationwide throughout this year and 2019.
