BANNOCKBURN, Ill. -

Through fleet management company Donlen’s latest partnership and integration with Ford, Donlen customers with Ford vehicles can more quickly access their vehicle and fleet data, said Donlen director of telematics and safety products Elizabeth Rossiter.

Donlen said on Thursday that its DriverPoint Telematics system is now fully integrated with Ford 2020-model-year vehicles.

Donlen says that with the joint integration, Ford built-in modems track driver behavior and capture vehicle and diagnostic data. And they do that without the need for an additional physical device, according to the company.

Then, the system immediately uploads that data to FleetWeb, which is Donlen’s centralized fleet management platform.

That provides access to insights for customers in areas such as internal policy improvements, driver coaching and training, and enhanced driver safety.

“Eliminating the challenge of hardware installation by harnessing available technology provides our customers with a better fleet management experience,” Rossiter said in a news release.

Director at Ford Commercial Solutions Michelle Moody said integrating Ford vehicle data into DriverPoint through working with Donlen provides a strong tool for fleet professionals “without the hassle of hardware installation.”

“We’re pleased to support the DriverPoint launch and welcome Donlen as an authorized Ford Data Services provider,” Moody said.
