HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -

Credit union members now can use the help of another familiar industry name when they're shopping for the next vehicle.

GrooveCar announced a new partnership with Kelley Blue Book on Thursday that will provide credit union members access to the KBB Price Advisor tool via the GrooveCar platform.

The platform for credit union members can facilitate the entire car buying process and includes inventory listings made up of more than 3 million vehicles nationwide.

Along with detailed vehicle pricing information, GrooveCar said the addition of KBB's Price Advisor also can provide users insight on how to best finance new or used vehicles — while providing leads to credit unions.

Shoppers must sign up on their credit union’s custom GrooveCar Direct site to obtain access to KBB values.

“Car shoppers will register to get this valuable information, and the credit union will now be able to connect with their car shopping members before they get to the dealership,” GrooveCar vice president of strategic alliances explained in a news release. “It’s a convenient resource members are using. Offering these features in one place helps build member connections and reduces the risk of having them go elsewhere.”

Additionally, via the new partnership, Kelley Blue Book’s Price Advisor tool can provide GrooveCar users with the Fair Market Range for vehicles found throughout the platform’s inventory listings.

Using sophisticated statistical models built to consider recent transactions, supply, demand and market changes, the Fair Market Range that KBB provides reflects the range of prices most buyers pay for a specific vehicle type each week.

“Car buyers are seeking a trusted resource with compelling information they can use to help build confidence along the car buying and selling journey,” said KBB senior director of syndication Damon Bennett. “With expert, up-to-date and data-driven pricing information, consumers benefit from Kelley Blue Book pricing through GrooveCar’s platform, helping them make the best possible purchase decision.”
