Residents of three states can now access a carsharing marketplace where vehicle owners can provide their cars to carshare drivers seeking qualifying vehicles for their jobs.

HyreCar, the peer-to-peer carsharing platform designed to facilitate carsharing for ridesharing, has launched in three additional states.

The company announced Tuesday that vehicle owners and drivers in Hawaii, Iowa and Minnesota can now join its growing network of users.

"We're extremely excited to expand into these three markets, as we have experienced growing demand from local drivers," HyreCar chief executive officer Joe Furnari said in a news release. "We're eager to welcome entrepreneurial vehicle owners and rideshare drivers the opportunity to participate in the sharing economy in a meaningful way by leveraging HyreCar to generate passive income."

In addition to enabling peer-to-peer car rentals for ridesharing services, key services provide by HyreCar include, rideshare insurance and flexible rental options.

The company currently operates in 35 states.
