New features of eBay Motors’ all-new, automotive-focused app for Apple iPhone and Android include a personalized homepage, streamlined listing capabilities and improved search filters.
eBay Motors, which describes itself as a marketplace “for all things automotive,” says its new app is powered by advanced technology and is “a powerful tool for buying and selling vehicles directly from consumers’ mobile devices in an entirely new way.”
The company says U.S. customers can now use the app to list, search and shop for vehicles with a “reimagined experience that makes for a smooth user ride.”
Users can download the free app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once they do that, shoppers can access eBay Motors’ vehicle inventory, including new or pre-owned, classic, rare and collectible vehicles.
As for sellers, they can list their vehicle to eBay’s millions of buyers.
eBay Motors says that through its new tailored mobile shopping platform, consumers can bid on or buy any vehicle, “virtually anytime, anywhere.”
Through its new AI-driven vehicle pages, users can populate and showcase a vehicle for purchase. They can also refine the inventory of cars and trucks shown to them based on preference.
Other new features include the ability to list with just your license plate. The app prompts the seller to take a photo of the license plate. The app will use that information to automatically populate details such as make and model, year and VIN.
In less than 5 minutes, a seller can create and populate a listing in just a few steps. That includes attracting the right buyer by uploading images and a video of the vehicle.
AI-powered image sorting is another new feature. When users list or view a vehicle on the app, AI technology automatically organizes vehicle images to provide a listing, which eBay Motors says “looks like it was created by a mechanic.”
With another new feature, “featured searches,” users can check out searches such as low riders and lifted trucks.
And users can have fun with those featured searches. They can search for the cars from their favorite movies, for example. Or they can look for vintage cars that were popular in years past.
