FOSTER CITY, Calif. -

Reviver Auto now has plans to roll out its Rplate digital license plate in Dubai, the company announced Thursday.

This follows news from last month that the company has partnered with Pendragon North America, which will sell the Rplate Pro to California consumers as a dealer partner.

Reviver Auto said that it is now working with the Dubai Road and Transport Authority on a new international agreement for a proof of concept program in partnership with local distributor Team Target International.

“The global adoption of the Rplate Pro coincides with our mission to establish a universal connected vehicle innovation platform and this program will prove our ability to be a robust solution and first in this market,” Reviver Auto chief executive officer Neville Boston said in a news release. “We’re not just reinventing the connected vehicle ecosystem; we’re building safer and more connected communities one license plate at a time and are thrilled to be part of Dubai’s Smart City initiative.”

Reviver Auto’s plans to expand internationally come after reaching licensing agreements in California, Arizona, Texas and Florida, to market its digital license plate to roughly one-third of the driving population in the United States.

“Reviver Auto is ushering in a new era of connectivity for transportation,” said Abdullah Yousuf Al Ali, CEO of the Dubai Road and Transport Authority licensing agency. “The Rplate Pro will play a critical role in aiding communication between vehicles and transportation-related agencies and programs that aim to ultimately make driving safer and smarter. It is our vision to make Dubai the smartest city in the world and the Rplate Pro will be a key part of our transportation infrastructure.”
