SANTA MONICA, Calif. -

Through a new affinity partnership between TrueCar and an e-commerce website for active and veteran U.S. military members, first responders and law enforcement, those individuals will be able to receive upfront transactable price offers on vehicles.

TrueCar’s partnership is with GovX, an e-commerce website for active and veteran U.S. military, police, fire, emergency rescue and medical technicians, and others from related government agencies.

Under the program, those GovX members will be able to see what others paid for the same vehicle of interest and use TrueCar’s digital deal-building capabilities.

Providing more details on the program, TrueCar said GovX members will see what others paid for their new vehicle of interest in a local area and view price ratings on used vehicles. They will save on average of more than $3,500 off MSRP (actual savings may vary) on new vehicles and receive discounts on used vehicles. Used-car discounts are not available in all states.

Members will receive real transactable price offers on actual inventory on the dealer’s lot.

They can receive a value on their existing vehicle and receive a real cash offer in minutes.

To save time at the dealership, members can also build a deal online, including factors such as trade-in value and preferred terms.

A buy-from-home benefit involves identifying TrueCar certified dealers that offer remote paperwork, vehicle delivery and vehicle sanitization.

In addition, members can gain access to TrueCar’s certified network of dealers nationwide.

TrueCar launched TrueCar Military last year. That vehicle purchase program provides exclusive military incentives and benefits on top of TrueCar’s existing benefits, to armed forces members and their families. TrueCar has worked for more than 14 years to assist the men and women of the military through affinity car-buying partnerships with military service organizations.

GovX Inc. senior vice president Chris Bohnert said TrueCar provides ease and transparency in the car buying experience, in addition to customer service and support.

“These are extremely meaningful value propositions for us and our members who have the responsibility and honor of protecting and serving our great country,” Bohnert said in a news release. “TrueCar shares our same deep commitment to providing service members with the value and benefits they deserve. We are excited for our members to experience this new and improved way to buy a car.”

TrueCar president and chief executive officer Mike Darrow said the partnership will provide a more transparent and efficient method for servicemembers, first responders and law enforcement to purchase a vehicle.

“Through our partnership, GovX members will receive a first-class car buying experience and competitive pricing that they can trust,” Darrow said.
